Dr. John Vassallo

Current President of the Livingston County Medical Society, Dr. John Vassallo divides his time between numerous medical appointments. He provides preventive medicine and care for diabetes, high-cholesterol, and hypertension to clients at the Wellbridge Brighton, Pinckney, and Fenton skilled-nursing facilities. Beyond that, Dr. John Vassallo maintains his own medical office in Howell, Michigan, treating patients with both chronic and acute illnesses, including heart disease.

Dr. Vassallo began his career in medicine more than 15 years ago. Having previously received a bachelor’s degree from Curry College and a master’s from Wayne State University, he earned his MD from the Ross University School of Medicine and completed his post-doctoral training in internal medicine at Oakwood Hospital. He subsequently achieved board certification from the American Board of Internal Medicine.

Outside of work, Dr. Vassallo enjoys a wide range of hobbies. An avid fan of the outdoors, he can often be found boating and fishing in his free time. He is also a strong supporter of conservation efforts. Meanwhile, he maintains an active lifestyle by participating in CrossFit and rugby.
